Digital Citizenship in the 21st Century
Now more than ever we are learning the importance of being digital citizens. The school closures due to COVID 19 has forced us to rely on distance or online learning. While we remain safe staying at home your education must continue. Your dreams of going to college and creating a career doing something you are passionate about requires you to stay focused. It means knowing how to use technology to learn, create, problem solve, interact and communicate with your teachers, classmates and peers around the country and world. Whereas once you were a CSA student of Roybal, now you are a student of the world!

Attention 8th Graders/Class of 2024:

Join Roybal’s Computer Science Academy now!

CSA is the place to learn the technological skills and knowledge you’ll need to succeed in college and prepare for a career in the 21st Century.

We are the only high school academy in the Belmont Zone of Choice that offers the Project Lead the Way Computer Science Program.

Project Lead the Way

Bringing Computer Science to Life!

At a time when computer science affects how we work and live, PLTW Computer Science empowers students in grades 9-12 to become creators, instead of merely consumers, of the technology all around them.

The program’s interdisciplinary courses engage students in compelling, real-world challenges. As students work together to design solutions, they learn computational thinking – not just how to code – and become better thinkers and communicators. Students take from the courses in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they take.

2013 Flashback – Roybal’s First Cyber Patriot Team

Roybal Learning Center fielded a team in a national competition dealing with cyber security. The team, BEE-WARE kept winning and advanced all the way to the national finals in Washington DC. Team members included Neel Patel (captain), Tobias Sebestian, Joseph Falcon, Jimmy Can, Valeria Barrera, Brandon Nava, and Sonhau Sak, all of CSA and Brian Sandoval of ISOL. The team was led by their coach, William Diaz. This is another example of excellence that deserves our recognition. A special congratulations to all the team members!!!
