My name is Ms. Guadarrama, and I am excited to be a science teacher here at Roybal Learning Center. This year, I will be teaching Principles of Biomedical Science, Human Body Systems, and Biology (Dual Language).
When I graduated high school, I thought I wanted to be a forensic scientist. I even traveled across the country to go to college in Connecticut in order to major in forensic science! After a lot of thinking and a few tough decisions, I decided to come back to California a year later because I figured out that being a science teacher is the only career that I would really love. So, I transferred to University of La Verne where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology, my favorite science discipline.
After getting my B.A. in Biology, I started a graduate program at UCLA to get my teaching credential and a Master's in Education. Although I now have my credential, I am still taking classes to earn the Master's degree, so I am actually a student, too!
